But it was recommended to students in the early years too, especially if they have a practical project that they want to be presented and validated. Students prepared a paper about 3-10 pages which was present in the session. For registration an university professor coordinated their work. Two Telecommunication sections (committees) scheduled the papers on May 15!<\/p>\n<p>There were 34 papers presented by over 50 students awarded as followed: 3 I-st Place prizes, 3 II-nd Place prizes, 3 II-rd Place prizes and 6 Mentions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.telecom.pub.ro\/en\/extracurricular\/student-contests\/sescom-prizes\/\">More details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a name=\"Tudor Tanasescu\"><\/a>Tudor T\u0103n\u0103sescu<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Tudor T\u0103n\u0103sescu\u00a0<\/strong>contest\u00a0is the most important professional competition for students from faculties of Electronics and Computer Science from Romania. Getting a prize in this contest proved over time to be an important asset in\u00a0graduates CV. Organized with little interruption from 1974 the contest reached the\u00a030th edition being\u00a0intended for deserving students in\u00a0years III-IV of study. The theme is based on its two fundamental subjects in preparation for the Electronics Engineer: Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Circuits and Systems.<\/p>\n<p>The preparation for\u00a0the competition is based on a bibliography which is presented to students with a minimum of six months before the contest. Alongside are held preparatory courses for future competitors. At the written test the\u00a0contestant may use any material (books, notebooks, sheets filed etc.) which can help in solving problems.<\/p>\n<p>Concursul se def\u0103\u0219oar\u0103 \u00een dou\u0103 etape:<br \/>\n&#8211;<strong>faza local\u0103<\/strong>, care urm\u0103re\u015fte selec\u0163ia celor mai buni trei studen\u0163i de c\u0103tre fiecare universitate;<br \/>\n&#8211;<strong>faza na\u0163ional\u0103<\/strong> organizat\u0103 \u00een ultimii 15 ani la<strong> Facutatea de Electronic\u0103, Telecomunica\u0163ii \u015fi Tehnologia Informa\u0163iei<\/strong> (E.T.T.I) din cadrul Universit\u0103\u0163ii Politehnica din Bucure\u015fti.<br \/>\nLa edi\u0163iile precedente, participan\u0163ii au venit de la universit\u0103\u0163ile tehnice din Ia\u015fi, Cluj, Timi\u015foara, Gala\u0163i , Pite\u015fti, Academia Tehnic\u0103 Militar\u0103 Bucure\u015fti \u015fi de la facultatea noastr\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>The contest has\u00a0two stages:<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>local phase<\/strong>, which aims to select the best three students from\u00a0each university;<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>national stage<\/strong> organized in the last 15 years at <strong>Faculty of \u200b\u200bElectronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology<\/strong> (E.T.T.I) of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.<br \/>\nIn previous editions, the participants came from technical universities from\u00a0Ia\u015fi, Cluj, Timi\u015foara, Gala\u0163i , Pite\u015fti, Military Technical Academy Bucharest and from our faculty.<\/p>\n<p>More information, including topics from previous competitions are available on the website dedicated to this event: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electronica.pub.ro\/concrett.ro\">concrett.ro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a name=\"RoboChallenge\"><\/a>RoboChallenge<\/h3>\n<p>Robochallenge is a competition that addresses especially to students passionate about the practical part of a project, but also to those eager to learn more. The competition consists in\u00a0building autonomous robots able to face other robots in the 6 large sections, each team having the opportunity to choose to participate in one or more of the tests designed by the organizers: <strong>Mini, Micro and Mega Sumo, Robo Football, Enhanced Line Follower and Maze.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a contest for both beginners and advanced learners, especially robotics hobbyists. The contest complements the theoretical part which is taught within the faculty, is how students can make something pleasant and useful using theoretical knowledge. However, from 2014 has been introduced a special section: <strong>Projects Presentation<\/strong> &#8211; technical section\u00a0where participants can present how the robot was designed and built by them, the jury being\u00a0made up of people specialized in the field of robotics.<\/p>\n<p>Robochallenge differs from other similar competitions by\u00a0stimulating competitors thinking and creativity. Participating teams build robots based on competition regulations\u00a0using components and materials suitable, the only restrictions being the size and weight. <em>Each team has its own vision and the approach can often be special, in this way appearing new surprises every year, living proof of their inventiveness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Persons interested in developing these technological marvels cand use\u00a0a special arranged laboratory at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology<\/strong>, where they can benefit from help and guidance from the ETTI Robochallenge team. For those who want more, each summer is organized <strong>Robochallenge Summer School<\/strong> where they receive support in areas of interest.<\/p>\n<p>More information is available on the website dedicated to this event: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robochallenge.ro\">www.robochallenge.ro<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a name=\"MobilPro\"><\/a>MobilPRO<\/h3>\n<p>MobilPRO \u2013 Inovare \u0219i Mobilitate is an annual competition of ideas and applications organized by the University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upb.ro\">http:\/\/www.upb.ro<\/a> ), Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ETTI, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electronica.pub.ro\/\">http:\/\/www.electronica.pub.ro<\/a> ), and Electronics Students League from ETTI Faculty (LSE, <a href=\"http:\/\/lse.org.ro\">http:\/\/lse.org.ro<\/a>), member of the National Union of Students in Romania (UNSR, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unsr.ro\">http:\/\/www.unsr.ro<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Editia 2015 MobilPRO \u2013 Mobility and Innovation proposed the following themes (<a href=\"http:\/\/mobilpro.lse.org.ro\/concurs\/regulament\/\">http:\/\/mobilpro.lse.org.ro\/concurs\/regulament\/<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Measurement <\/strong> \u2013 applications that include any form of measurement, directly or indirectly, of a quantity or set of quantities, often the result of a review process that results in an index or coefficient that indicates the degree of operation, compatibility or state of a system.<br \/>\nExamples: biometric applications, measurement of temperature, pressure, velocity, acceleration, position (spatial or geographic), measurement \/ calculation of electric measures, monitoring of body physically or emotionally, weather conditions, the car traffic, noise from an enclosure etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gaming<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 applications that have as main scenario recreational activities involving one or more users or applications that behave dynamically according to the user during (the score obtained by him at one time). Are accepted all types of games, regardless of age group, level of education or culture of the target audience is addressed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Educational software<\/strong> &#8211; applications that presents topics from various fields of study in the form of tutorial \/ documentation \/ manual or interactive applications that are designed to learn or testing knowledge \/ skills of the user, regardless of expertise level or content complexity of the application. Standard kits for cars are equipped with Freescale microcontroller platforms and are offered free to each team. According to the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.electronica.pub.ro\/images\/continut\/colaborari\/concursuri\/freescale_cup\/The%20Freescale%20Cup%20EMEA%20Rules%202015%20v1.1%2008Jul14.pdf\">rules<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0a team can consist of up to 3 students (from undergraduate or at most a student to master).
