Orange<\/span> Romania<\/span> supports<\/span> excellence<\/span> through the<\/span> Orange<\/span> Educational<\/span> Program –<\/span> Engineering<\/span> to students<\/span> in the third year<\/span> of the Faculty<\/span> of Electronics,<\/span> Telecommunications and Information Technology<\/span>.<\/p>\n
It offers 10<\/span> scholarship<\/span> places<\/span>, 42<\/span> places for<\/span> summer practice<\/span> at<\/span> Orange<\/span> Romania<\/span>, of which 10<\/span> will be reserved to<\/span>\u00a0scholars<\/span>,<\/span> and for attending<\/span> courses in<\/span> the<\/span> Orange<\/span> Educational<\/span> Program –<\/span> Engineering.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The 42 practice spots<\/strong> are distributed in all groups from Technical and IT departments. The list with the available positions<\/strong> is found in the\u00a0attached file<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The curriculum<\/span> is organized into<\/span> 10 modules<\/span><\/strong> containing<\/span> courses that<\/span> cover all<\/span> technologies used<\/span> in a<\/span> mobile network<\/span>. In<\/span> total<\/span> it contains<\/span> 145<\/span> hours<\/span> of instruction<\/span> and 18 hours<\/span> of verification of<\/span> knowledge<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> For details,<\/span> consult the<\/span> detailed<\/span> curriculum\u00a0<\/strong>from the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>attached file<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In<\/span> the context of cooperation<\/span> with the<\/span>\u00a0Freescale company<\/span>, it offers<\/span> 3 and 4<\/span> year students<\/span> a course<\/span> on<\/span> implementing<\/span> solutions<\/span> for<\/span> 4G<\/span> communications equipment<\/span><\/strong>. The course objective<\/span> is to familiarize<\/span> students with<\/span> the<\/span> classic<\/span> software<\/span> used<\/span> in the industry,<\/span> starting from<\/span> design<\/span> and<\/span> culminating<\/span> with<\/span> functionality<\/span> and performance<\/span> testing<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The students can participate in\u00a0Cryptology Bases<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>free\u00a0<\/strong>course\u00a0<\/strong>offered by\u00a0SIE<\/strong> specialists.<\/strong>\u00a0The course aims students in the third year<\/strong> –\u00a0TST and RST<\/strong>\u00a0(<\/strong>course description<\/a><\/strong>).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Third<\/span> year students<\/span> (<\/span>30<\/span><\/strong> each semester<\/span>) from<\/span> all majors<\/span> can attend every<\/span>\u00a0saturday in<\/span> SAIM<\/span> Laboratory<\/span><\/strong> (room<\/span> A110<\/span>) to<\/span> the<\/span> freely elected<\/span>\u00a0course“<\/span>Innovative<\/span> Android<\/span> Application Development<\/span>“<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/daai.saim<\/a><\/span>)<\/span> with<\/span> guests and<\/span> prizes from<\/span> Samsung<\/span> Romania<\/span><\/strong>, providing<\/span> training<\/span> for<\/span> competitions like<\/span> MobilPRO<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>http:\/\/mobilpro.lse.org.ro<\/a><\/span>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Robochallenge Summer School<\/h3>\n
Robochallenge Summer School started from our desire to be closer to our contestants, to offer them the support and guidance needed in order for them to build a competitive robot.
\nThe trainees receive mechanics, electronics and programming classes, but also, the fact we think it is the most important: experience exchange with former contestants and trainees.
\nWe set up a laboratory, equipped with necessary means for testing and developing robots: measuring devices, tools for PCB making and necessary design software. Optimum functionality of robots can be tested on fields similar to the ones used in the official competition, therefore sensors and robot parameters can be calibrated.<\/span><\/p>\n
